Wrocławskie Przedsiębiorstwo Budownictwa Przemysłowego
Nr 2 WROBIS S.A. was established on 19 May 1948.

It is difficult to clearly determine now who the fathers of the company were.

Some sources say that the “Wrocław Two” stemmed from Warszawska Spółdzielnia Budowlana, other - that it span-off from Warszawskie Przedsiębiorstwo Budownictwa Przemysłowego
nr 1, whose teams worked in Lower Silesia.

First projects...

Chemical Plant in Wizów near Bolesławiec and other works during the construction of the copper ore mine in Wilków near Złotoryja were the first projects we delivered.

The Fifties brought more investment projects with strategic importance to the Polish economy. That is when the building of Zakłady Górnicze “KONRAD”, a mining plant, started. The company made the ground works for Polish Copper Field. Other large industrial projects from the period included construction of the Lubiechów mine, extension of a cellulose plant in Jelenia Góra and the reconstruction of the Siechnica power plant.

In the subsequent years of our operations we built numerous plants with a strategic importance for Lower Silesia. Those included such facilities shaping the city’s and region’s landscape, as the “Dolmed” Lower Silesian Medical Diagnosis Centre, “Archimedes”, Wałbrzych Glassworks or the reconstruction of “Pafawag”, a rolling stock production factory.

So far…

WROBIS S.A. has constructed a few hundred plants of various types, such as: mines, coking plants, cement plants, warehouses, production facilities, environmental protection buildings, roads, administration and amenity facilities, hospitals, schools and residential buildings.

We have also handled renovation of historical buildings. In most of the cases we operated as the general contractor.

We built more than this city…

Based in Lower Silesia, initially we operated mainly in our region, but quickly extended our market to the whole of Poland.

In the Seventies, Wrobis also started exporting services. We built in former Czechoslovakia (later on in the Czech Republic), Hungary and Russia. At thepresent time Wrobis has performed services in Norway, Sweden, England.
